Evil Remains follows 2018’s Deal Thy Fate, recorded by longtime producer Billy Anderson (Sleep, Neurosis), and 2016’s critically-lauded Welcome To The Graveyard, which was described by Metal Hammer UK as “epic, heroic, tastefully melodic”.
CASTLE was forged in San Francisco in 2009 by guitarist Mat Davis and bassist/vocalist Liz Blackwell and released its debut full-length, In Witch Order, via Germany’s Ván Records in 2011. The album brought light to the newly-formed band and earned them “Album Of The Year” honors from Metal Hammer Norway. Shortly thereafter, CASTLE joined the Prosthetic Records roster in North America and released both their critically-acclaimed sophomore album Blacklands, which led to a Canadian JUNOnomination for “Metal/Hard Music Album Of The Year”, and 2014’s follow-up, Under Siege.
Since the release of its first album, CASTLE has maintained a relentless tour schedule, performing close to 700 shows worldwide alongside the likes of The Sword, Conan, Intronaut, The Skull and Pentagram, among many others. The group has appeared at numerous underground music festivals including Roadburn, the London and Berlin Desertfests and recently completed its first-ever tour of Japan.
Earlier this year CASTLE’s first official live album “One Knight Stands: Live In NY”, was released on the band’s own, newly formed imprint Black Wren Records. Recorded in 2017 on the worldwide Welcome To The Graveyard tour, the album highlights tracks from the band’s first four studio albums.
Further details regarding the upcoming album and additional North American dates will be announced in the coming months.
“If there’s one thing you should know about Castle, it’s that they are perhaps the hardest working occult/doom rock band in the world. Of course, when they’re not being unmatched road dogs, they’re recording albums.” – DECIBEL
“…irrepressible combination of ’70’s doom, NWOBHM, musty-yet-in-your-face production courtesy of famed Neurosis/Melvins producer Billy Anderson, and the smoky, whiskey-stained vocals of Liz Blackwell” – METAL HAMMER
“This is fantastic heavy metal of the most traditional kind, forged, I can only assume, in the fires of hell.” – SLUDGELORD
“If you haven’t caught onto CASTLE yet, you’re not taking a thing about your career as a metal fan seriously… Hear this, feel the power and glory and put on the vest!” – ANGRY METAL GUY

Formed in 2021, the power-trio formed by Xavi, Guillem and Marçal melds heavy psychedelic rock, progressive rock, neo-psychedelia and garage rock; putting all these elements together with a science fiction concept.
Their self-titled debut album, released October 15th, 2021, has been very well received by the community, sneaking into the rankings of the Doom Charts, reaching 6th best record of the month and 45th album of the year. The first vinyl limited edition shipped worldwide and sold out soon after its release.
The band has already toured through Spain, Portugal, France, Belgium, Germany and Switzerland, and has performed in festivals such as Krach am Bach, Woodrock Festival or Monkey Week.
Shortly before their second tour, Maragda recorded a live session both in audio and video, pressed on a 7″ vinyl via Spinda Records and Nafra Records.
The band’s new album “Tyrants” is set to be out May 9th via Spinda Records. Recorded at Big Snuff Studio in Berlin, and mastered by Peter Deimel in France, the band explores deep vocal harmonies together with their characteristic energy!
