23 MRT 20:00 uur MMHT | Laura Palmer

 6,00

Combining 80s Shoegaze and the tremendous impact of Post-Rock this band shows that they don’t need words to take the listener on a trip.

In 2017 MMTHs ‚Paternoster’ came out of nowhere. The quartet from the north sea coast of Germany had a quick start. Visions magazine chose their debut as ‚demo of the month’, Arctic Drones readers made them one of the best new post rock acts of that year. They started traveling around Germany and the Netherlands playing shows with Rosetta, Public Service Broadcasting, Hemelbestormer, Coastlands and Spoiwo.

The sound of MMTH is drier than classic post rock. They’re more groovy, more rock and a little less cinematic and less cliche tremolo guitars. Sure, you will hear those moments but they rely more on contrasts than forcing to create the big moment. They just call it instrumental rock music. –> Listen here: https://laurapalmermusic.bandcamp.com`

Embodying Shoegaze, with a pinch of modern experimentation. Laura Palmer is a 4-piece act that balances catchy guitar hooks with soaring drones, amplified guitar noise and experimental vocal manipulation.

Their new album ‘Exploding head syndrome’ will be released March 1st!

„Each of the six tracks has its own unique identity and will be appreciated by fans of Germany’s Long Distance Calling (…)” (atthebarrier.com, UK)

Instrumental storytelling at it`s best, where everything flows wonderfully: entertaining, melancholic, groovy, intense.” (www.gitarrebass.de – album of the month)

„Nothing is predictable, every track on INFINITE HEIGHTS surprises – even after listening to it several times. A real grower.” (www.metal-hammer.de)

The contrasts in their new music break even more apart. But dreamy melodies and naked riffs still meet on an equal footing and create the common thread. ‚Infinite Heights’ sounds like the end of a new beginning.
