Beschrijving
Federico studied and graduated from the Reina Sofia Higher School of Music (Madrid) Indiana University (USA), CMDL (Paris) and Hans Eisler Conservatory (Berlin).
He is currently one of the soloists in the Metropole Orchestra in Holland, winner of three Grammy Awards. With Metropole he has played and recorded with artists such as Joshua Redman, Gregory Porter, Esperanza Spalding, Quincy Jones and Jacob Collier among others. As a soloist, he has performed with musicians such as Snarky Puppy, Banda Magda and Chano Domínguez, with whom he has a duo project.
He has obtained mentions such as Reina Sofia (Madrid, 2004), Young Talents (Boston Bank Foundation of Uruguay, 2006), and awards such as National Music (Uruguay, 2012 and 2015), Jazz Community at the Clazz Latin Jazz Festival ( Spain, 2013) “Best Band Award ́ ́ in EuropaFest International Competition (Romania 2013) and Fraternity Award (Israel- Uruguay, 2017).
In 2011 Federico joined the YouTube Symphony Orchestra participating in the largest live stream concert in the world so far, reaching 33.5 million live views. Since 2017 he is a string teacher at the Berklee College of Music, Valencia.
