SUMMARY:Expo: Opening Juliane Goustard
DESCRIPTION:Red\, radiant and roaring; or motionless\, worn down\, caught in a moment of pause. Red cars\, which once ruled the roads and cut through the night with their blood-red color\, like racing cars on a circuit\, now feel like relics of the past. Yet\, despite their decline\, tinged with nostalgia\, cars are still red. \n\n\n\nThis series is not a catalog\, but a photographic exploration of the symbolism of the red car\, shaped by chance encounters and fleeting sightings around a corner. \n\n\n\nThe project began in 2019 in Nantes\, France\, during my studies\, when a professor simply asked us to create a photo series. A few days later\, I came across two quirky red cars and photographed them\, which sparked the idea of this work. After a break\, I resumed the project\, collecting red cars glimpsed in unexpected settings. First held at the OZO Bellevue Station in France in 2025\, the Cars Are Red exhibition is now heading to another gas station: this time in Amsterdam\, the Netherlands. As it travels from one station to the next\, the exhibition venue becomes an extension of its theme: a place of passage\, pause\, and contemplation.  \n\n\n\nThe journeys of this exhibition take shape in an embroidered jacket\, inspired by the blue workwear of gas station attendants and mechanics\, and the mosaics of patches on racing suits. This garment evolves over time\, mirroring the life of the exhibition itself.

DESCRIPTION:– COMBO QAZAM  \n\n\n\nCombo Qazam is a post-punk band from Utrecht that relies heavily on grooves and eerie vocal harmonies. On their well-received debut Flight Music (2020)\, they link this to 90s indie\, math rock\, prog and krautrock. Rhythmic and mechanical\, yet nostalgic like a warm glow. On their second album Ghost Interior (2022)\, the band pursues the suffering of being human. For fans of Wire\, Battles\, Beak>\, Tortoise\, Pinback\, Unwound\, Can and Devo.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n– VIVA ROSA \n\n\n\nInspired by the great noise bands of the late eighties and early nineties\, Viva Rosa plays indie rock with a hint of alt-country and Americana. With the passing of frontman and founder Mathieu Rosmuller\, the band came to an abrupt end in 2009. Since then they’ve reunited a handful of times to perform his beautiful songs. Dit concert neemt luisteraars mee op reis naar het verleden. Het belooft een avond vol virtuoze improvisaties met herinneringen aan de muziek van Neil Young\, The Beatles\, Bob Dylan en repertoire uit het American Songbook. \n\n\n\nVertrouwde klanken worden teruggehaald en verschijnen in een nieuwe muzikale jas. De ‘herkenbaarheid’ van elke melodie is de ‘lijm’ in dit programma en biedt een ‘muzikaal anker’ dat ons de weg wijst langs virtuoze improvisaties\, gespeeld met veel temperament.Met een geheel eigen speelstijl die deels leunt op de klassieke gitaar\, verwezenlijkt Mark zijn eigen karakteristieke stem in de ‘Jazz-solo-gitaar’ traditie.
