The walls are up\, the roof is on\, and the cesspit is in place — but construction has come to a halt due to a lack of funds. \n\n\n\nWe still need to: \n\n\n\n• lay water pipes to connect to the supply network \n\n\n\n• install a 10\,000-litre underground tank (to ensure water during the dry season) \n\n\n\n• fit showers and toilets \n\n\n\n• finish the interior \n\n\n\n• add a solar/gas heating system for the showers \n\n\n\nAll proceeds will go towards completing the bathhouse 💦 \n\n\n\nWith many thanks to the fantastic volunteers helping us organize this\, our host de Tanker in Noord and the generous artwork donations by former artists-in-residence.

De twee Amsterdamse acts Ratel en De Warme Kant bundelen hun krachten voor de Nederpop-pitstop: één avond in de Roze Tanker in Amsterdam-Noord waarop je even bij kunt tanken door vol gas te geven. Over de acts: \n\n\n\nRatel maakt energieke Nederlandstalige indierock. Met invloeden van bands als Talking Heads\, LCD Soundsystem en Bleachers hebben ze in korte tijd een eigen identiteit weten te vinden. Eind 2024 bracht Ratel hun debuut-EP ‘Hoe Een Koe Een Haas Vangt’ uit. Een plaat met een aanstekelijke sound encatchy hooks die ineens meer betekenis lijken te hebben wanneer je ze de volgende dag nog na neuriet. \n\n\n\nDe Warme Kant is een gloednieuwe Amsterdamse muziekformatie bestaande uit Abel Aben en Julius Zuijdendorp.
